mission: 2 Live Beyond Ourselves so that others

may dream beyond their circumstances

The goal of the Grand Strand Chapter is to raise money, awareness, influence, and volunteers for local non profit organizations who are service providers to children with physical, mental, emotional, financial, family or social needs

DINE OUT 4 CHILDREN

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 17, 2018

Website: https://dineout4children.wixsite.com/dineout4children

We're cookin' up the perfect "Recipe for Success" for children - and your

participation in “Dine Out 4 Children” is a key ingredient!

Dine Out 4 Children is a community-wide event that offers area restaurants and their patrons an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to helping disadvantaged children overcome the most challenging of circumstances and achieve in life. This year, participating restaurants will donate a portion of the day’s sales on October 17th to 7 local children’s charities: SOS Health Care’s Oak Tree Farm Project, the 2019 Joy Prom for the local special needs community, A Father’s Place, Tara Hall Home for Boys, The T.W.L.U.M. Project, Sea Haven for Youth and Teach My People,

Support your local restaurant owners, local charities and experience amazing food from the fast to the finest!

We've recruited some of the best restaurants in town along the Grand Strand. With several restaurant locations, you will surely have a great place to dine out at one (or more!) restaurants on October 17th, 2018. Together we can help children get the resources and caring relationships they need to overcome the most challenging of circumstances.

JOIN THE Grand Strand Chapter

2LiveBeyond Members are the most important part of the Initiative in bringing

awareness and fundraising resources for the organizations supported.

Our Members are committed and engaged in ongoing personal growth, dedicated to providing care for disadvantaged children living by the message: “2LiveBeyond Ourselves So Others May DREAM Beyond Their Circumstances.”

Why should you become a member of the 2LiveBeyond Grand Strand Chapter

  1. Serving the local and international communities

  2. Enjoying fellowship activities and volunteer opportunities

  3. Maintaining and developing friendships

  4. Creating business opportunities

  5. Networking professionally

  6. Meeting other Initiative Members when traveling

  7. Enjoying recognition from Membership

  8. Learning leadership skills

  9. Serving as a Chair Committee Member

  10. “Living Beyond Ourselves So Others Can DREAM Beyond Their Circumstances.”

Why Have others become a part of the 2LiveBeyond Initiative

1. The invisible, intrinsic, intangible reason anyone or any entity supports 2LiveBeyond Inc. is because they believe in our mission, vision, and purpose.

2. It can be empowering and deeply satisfying to be a part of an effort that is bigger than your immediate, day-to-day life. People who join as a chapter member may be seeking to strengthen their personal and professional identity by working alongside people who share their values.

3. Some of you as members may be highly motivated by social opportunities in which you can interact with others who share your interests. As we continue to grow and become known for not only our impact but also our events and social activities, we will draw members who are most interested in social benefits.

4. Some may join our nonprofit organization because their business appeals to those who value our organization's mission. These work-minded members may use our membership events to network with future employers, employees, clients, or customers. We can use this kind of thinking to benefit our organization by marketing the "business" value of membership within 2LiveBeyond.

5. Although individuals or corporations who join 2LiveBeyond as a Chapter Member for a membership fee at varying levels are not thinking about the tax benefit, those who join at a higher level may be looking ahead to their end-of-year charitable tax deductions. Many people who are inclined to join 2LiveBeyond’s Non Profit organization will establish a philanthropy plan. These members set aside a percentage of their annual income for membership dues and contributions.

6. As a member, you can rest assured that your desire to serve the community but unsure of who and how has been a priority focus for 2LiveBeyond. We have diligently researched, assessed and taken the time to understand each charity we support and their need with you in mind. For each member it is different. One may have the heart and desire to serve however, their schedule does not allow for a hands on approach at this time. For others it may be desire to impact multiple local organizations, but simply unable to balance service to each one. Membership in your local Chapter can and does allow for a    balanced platform of humanitarian service to children and families right in your own backyard through multiple charities.

7 . One of our greatest benefits here at 2LiveBeyond is our network of professional athletes. These outstanding men and women understand that their platform in the world can have a tremendous impact on so many people and causes. One great example of that is through one of our annual fundraisers, the “2LiveBeyond” Celebrity Golf Tournament.  The money raised goes to making a difference in the Myrtle Beach, SC community such as in 2017 the Grand Strand Miracle League, S.O.S. Healthcare, Teach My People and the Tara Hall Home For Boys. This tournament is a unique and rare gathering of professional athletes participating to support the advancement and well-being of others.

Claudia Berner, Fundraising Chair From an early age her infatuation has been in caring for others.  Her career aspirations began in considering nursing, respiratory therapy, special needs children and finally finding my passion in the nurturing of animals with a B.S., in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. After over 20 years in corporate America I am privileged to be looking forward to retirement. My inspiration for this next chapter in my life is my parents.  Caring for my Dad as he progresses through Alzheimer’s and living up to the promise to keep him home as long as he is safe and well cared for.    Her dream is to use the skills she has gained throughout her career to help enrich the lives of individuals and families needing support in caring for their loved ones. She looks forward to owning an elder care franchise with my business partner, Barry Weber.  He is my role model for what great care should be.  He is my Dad’s nurse, his best friend, my mother’s emotional support and part of our family.   Our partnership will make it possible to give back to the community and make a difference in people’s lives – giving them the quality of life that they deserve.

I was born and raised in Mullins, SC and hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Charleston Southern University. Earlier in my career, I was a partner with Associated Consultants Limited and worked as a Business Analyst/Consultant, with responsibility for analyzing businesses and improving the financial health of different organizations throughout the eastern half of the United States. I then entered the financial services industry and worked with organizations such as Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Principal Financial Group and Jefferson Pilot. During that time I started a company that originates and packages governmental loans for banks throughout the Myrtle Beach area. Over the years, I have earned a reputation for providing skilled and practical guidance as a business consultant, financial planner and investment advisor. Now at Guild Mortgage I am enjoying a new opportunity to serve my clients and provide first class service. Our team keeps you well informed every step of the way, taking our motto to heart: “Your Loan, On Time, EVERY Time!” Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my wife, Candice and our two sons. I am an avid golfer and take full advantage of our beautiful beaches.
