“What is 2LiveBeyond”

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

said, “Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” The 2LiveBeyond Initiative has been a faith walk that is supported by a passionate community with the desire not to stay with the status quo. In its 4th year of existence, the Initiative has been fervently working to create change in the world around us by “living beyond ourselves so others can dream beyond their circumstances.” In the brief history of our foundation, with the help of matching gifts and partnering organizations, we have raised over $350,000 for disadvantaged children in our local community and around the globe.

The vision for the 2LiveBeyond Initiative is to show the world how “2LiveBeyond themselves so that others can dream beyond their circumstances.”

Our purpose is to provide resources, bring awareness and fundraising to 501(c)(3) organizations that focus on the care of disadvantaged children. Whether it’s due to illness, poverty or broken family, for our backyard or abroad, these carefully chosen organizations change lives for children within their communities.

Deciding to make an imprint in our world is a large task to accomplish but we realized through our international charity, Africa New Life Ministries (ANLM), that it wasn’t impossible. Founder of ANLM, Pastor Charles Buregeya Mugisha, once said, “you may not be able to change the world, but you can change the world for one.” And with the simple blueprint of caring for one child at a time, you can take a vision and transform it into a movement. The 2LiveBeyond Initiative grew as we embraced the idea of taking each other’s spheres of influence, combining them for one common purpose, and changing the world one child at a time.

The desire to help children in Rwanda is near and dear to the hearts of 2LiveBeyond’s co-founders, Scott and Pamela Pyle, and André Davis. However, living in Myrtle Beach, SC together also helped them to be aware of what challenges lay right in front of them at home. Horry County in South Carolina is one of the most underserved areas for children with special needs and children challenged by poverty.

It is our mission to close the gap and to provide much needed resources and finances to the organizations who are tirelessly “living beyond themselves” to help our youth. Our desire to help direct fund, resources and awareness to those who have the heart to serve these children daily. We want these gifted individuals and organizations focusing on the kids and not fundraising. With the support of businesses and organizations like you, we know that we will be able to provide the reinforcements to give our children, the hope, desire, motivation and the opportunities which allow them to dream!

The Initiative provides funding opportunities for organizations to support a future project that will directly affect and support their efforts to help the children they serve. Organizations must follow the Initiative Funding Guidelines in order for their project to be approved.

Organizations and projects supported will vary each year depending on the need in their community. 2017 Projects Supported
